La révision générale d'un euphonium, des saxhorns et tubas comprend :

  • Le démontage complet de l'instrument.
  • Le dégraissage et déshuilage des coulisses et pistons.

  • La désoxydation des pièces oxydées (vert de gris).
  • L'ajustement de la coulisse mobile (si présente).

Comment entretenir votre instrument?

Faire suivre votre cuivre est important pour le préserver, mais avant tout, c'est à vous d'avoir les bons réflexes et les bons gestes pour le bichonner tout au long de l'année. Voici quelques conseils utiles pour entretenir votre instrument :

  • Huiler vos pistons après avoir joué. Ainsi, pendant que l'instrument est au repos, les pistons sont parfaitement huilés et protégés, surtout si l'instrument reste longtemps sans jouer.
  • Le petit plus : il sera toujours prêt à la sortie de l'étui!
  • Vider votre "eau" minutieusement avant de ranger votre instrument, cela limite son oxydation. De plus, en démontant régulièrement les coulisses vous limitez grandement le risque que celles-ci "figent" (une toute petite action qui peut éviter de gros problèmes!).
